ARTISTIC STATEMENT

As dancers with the focus to explore Body-Mind connection we approach the walk as a proposition of mixing physical training with presence in the natural space. Our interest in the walk also stems from the wish to enrich our creative process and to incorporate the contemplative focus into our dance.

For us dancing away from the city is an experience as simple as walking, with each step direction and the alignment of the body change, often - if not always - in nature the direction is not linear and alignment is not a simple task. This keeps the mind busy with the physical present instead of the mental jabber of city streets. This meditative state makes the exploration of body in movement authentic and honest as well as opening the perceptions to a different sense of space and time.
